Terms and conditions for using Ledge
ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing and using the Ledge mobile application, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the below, please do not use this service.
SERVICE DESCRIPTION
Ledge is a personal finance application that helps users track their assets, manage portfolios, and gain insight into their financial position, with a built-in paper-trading playground for testing strategies. The service is provided on an 'as is' basis.
IMPORTANT: Ledge is not a financial advisor, broker, or investment advisor. The information and tools provided are for informational purposes only and should not be construed as financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult with qualified professionals before making financial decisions.
USER ACCOUNTS
3.1 ACCOUNT CREATION
When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.
3.2 ACCOUNT SECURITY
You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.
3.3 ACCOUNT TERMINATION
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease, and we may delete your data in accordance with our data retention policies.
3.4 PROHIBITED USES
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Use automated systems to access the service without permission
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Share or sell your account access to others
SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENTS
4.1 SUBSCRIPTION PLANS
Ledge offers two subscription tiers:
- Free Plan: Allows you to add up to 5 assets and 1 virtual portfolio in the Playground.
- Premium Plan: Provides unlimited assets and unlimited virtual portfolios, along with access to all premium features.
4.2 PRICING AND BILLING
The Premium Plan is available at the following rates:
- Monthly Subscription: $0.99 per month
- Annual Subscription: $9.99 per year
4.3 PAYMENT PROCESSING
All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device. Payment will be charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
4.4 AUTO-RENEWAL
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
4.5 CANCELLATION
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain Premium access until that time.
4.6 REFUNDS
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google according to their respective refund policies. Ledge does not process refunds directly. Please contact Apple App Store or Google Play Store support for refund requests.
4.7 PRICE CHANGES
We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will not affect existing subscribers until their next renewal period. We will notify you of any price changes in advance.
4.8 SUBSCRIPTION LAPSE
If your Premium subscription expires or is cancelled, your account will revert to the Free Plan. You will need to reduce your assets to 5 and keep at most 1 virtual portfolio to continue using the service, or upgrade back to Premium.
DATA PROCESSING AND STORAGE
By using our service, you grant us permission to:
- Store your financial data securely on our servers
- Process your transaction information to provide insights and analytics
- Save your preferences and settings to enhance your experience
- Analyze usage patterns to improve our services
- Retain your data for as long as your account remains active or as required by law
- Use anonymized and aggregated data for research and development purposes
USER CONTENT AND DATA
6.1 YOUR DATA OWNERSHIP
You retain ownership of all content and data you provide to the service. However, by uploading or inputting data, you grant us a license to use, store, and process this information to provide our services effectively.
6.2 DATA ACCURACY
You are responsible for the accuracy of all data you input into Ledge. We are not responsible for any errors or consequences resulting from inaccurate data entry.
6.3 DATA EXPORT
You may export your data at any time through the app's export functionality. Upon account deletion, you will have a limited time period to export your data before it is permanently deleted.
PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service. By using our service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
SECURITY
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Ledge application, including its design, features, graphics, logos, and source code, is owned by Ledge, Inc. and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our services without our explicit written permission.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
In no event shall Ledge, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the service.
9.1 DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
9.2 FINANCIAL DECISIONS
We are not responsible for any financial losses, investment decisions, or consequences resulting from your use of the app or reliance on any information provided within the service.
CHANGES TO TERMS
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our company is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11.1 DISPUTE RESOLUTION
If you have any disputes with Ledge, you agree to first contact us at support@ledge.today to attempt to resolve the issue informally. Most disputes can be resolved this way. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may pursue formal legal remedies.
SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remainder of these Terms remains in full force and effect.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ledge regarding the use of our service and supersede any prior agreements.
